so theoretically has now turned into wishful thinking (on some levels).
i found out today at work that #1-i will not be accompanying my team to indiana. :( #2-i will not get to live it up in boston for 3 days on liberty's tab because i've pass the cut-off mark (i.e. i've graduated and am no longer in college).
but #3- my boss did suggest that i start using up my paid vacation days, perhaps while they're all off in indiana. so i that's a plus. now if i could only find somewhere to go...of course my first thought was cali and kaelan and jeffster, but tickets are close to $400 and the flight time would be ricockulous. yes ricockulous. that's really sad though cause i'd love to check out the sunshine state for once. i've been to quite a few random states, but oddly enough i've missed some of the major ones. like, well, maybe only cali, but still, i wanna go!! i need a tan!! but my boss does have a point. by august i'll have accrued a week of paid vacation and if i dont use it, i just lose it, so i really should go somewhere. especially considering i'll be paid to do it all.
sigh. in other news, as there always is other news, i had some interesting experiences today:
#1-i woke up early in the morning to go to the bathroom (i drink tons of water to fill me up so i dont have to spend so much $$ on food but as a consequence i pee ALL THE TIME) and i noticed my right wrist was hurting. i was sleepy/groggy so i just assumed i had strained it lifting weights at the gym. i tried stretching it out but it was pretty sore so i went to take some advil and that's when i noticed i had left my hairband on my wrist before bed, but it was smaller than the ones i usually use so it was actually cutting off my circulation to my hand! when i took it off i saw that i had this deep red indentation on my wrist. and then all day even though the indentation is gone the red mark is still there. even now, over 15 hours later it's still there. scarification. sweet! i do wonder how much damage i might have done if i didnt wake up...carpel tunnel perhaps? workers comp? ha ha. yes liberty mutual, you have given me knowledge, which i will in turn use against you!
#2- this morning, as i was making my salad to bring to work for lunch, like i do every freakin' day because i'm cheap and dont want to pay more for meat and/or variety, i opened a can of mandarin oranges to put in the salad, and then decided to eat one out of the can. BIG MISTAKE! i immediately noticed that not only did it NOT taste sweet, but it actually tasted kinda weird like penicillin, and granular. upon closer inspection i noticed that the slices were plumper than usual and covered in very small white dots. so either they were mold spores or botulism. either way, i ate one and almost threw up right there in the kitchen. but since that would make me no better than the stupid little dog i so dislike i composed myself, picked the rest of the slices out of my salad and threw them out and attempted to go on with my day. i was slightly concerned that i might experience some strange outbreak during the day, but thankfully all is well.
i do think i'm in the middle of experiencing some bad food omens though. last week my milk spoiled like 5 days before it should've. and by spoiled i mean that thing was sour! thankfully i didnt drink it though. i learned my lesson about that last summer when i happened to drink spoiled milk twice in one month...i guess bad food is just attracted to me. at least i hope that's it, and not the other way around...
my brother's new colow IPOD that i bought him for his bday finally arrived today. it's soooo cute! i want it! it can hold photos and play slideshows too while you listen to playlists and music. and i also got him the same Monster FMRadio transmitter that i have for mine, except i guess Monster got smart and they've since updated it to not just have 8 FM options to choose from (being the 88.3,5,7 type stations that are generally free) but now it's digital so you can select any station you want, and even preset to 3. damn damn damn! i've got my green glasses on today, that's for sure!
